Honorable ladies and gentleman

First of all, let’s thank God, the Almighty who has been giving us His mercy and blessings till we can attend this meeting without any obstacle in this good place and time.
Secondly, May Sholawat and Salam always be with our Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him, who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness in the world as well as in the next world.

Standing in front of you all, I would like to present my speech under the title of: “The role of information technology in improving learning achievement.

In the past time If we wanted to talk with someone, we have to visit him/her. If we needed to know someone's condition we had to send a letter. It needed a time to do.

But now, everything is different. If we want to know something now, we'll get it in real time. Advance technology has made it different.

We have to admit that advance technology brings many possitive effect to our life. 

The first, we don't need to ask people about something we don't know. We can ask search engine like Google, or Yahoo. We can look for place or address in our mobile phone or using GPS.

The second, we know the latest news very fast. We know what happen in Nagreg, Cikancung, even in New York through news in the internet and television. We also easily know what is happening in  other countries.

The third, we can connect easily and quickly to people in different places using telephone, mobile phone, voice chat, video chat, text chat ,email. And   social media.

Ladies and Gentleman

This era is full of Information  technology; one of the t Information technologies ( IT ) that we find now is Computer, Laptop and  Smartphone. But do you know IT?  the meaning of how to use IT is not like you turn on your  Computer,laptop or smartphone, but the right way to use it. Control it. Manage it. Use the time for playing IT. Because almost anyone who using IT, forget about how many time they spend for playing it.

In our lives, the Internet serves as a source of information. The existence of the Information Technology  in a teenager's life can serve as a medium of learning which is very helpful for teens to learn to achieve satisfactory academic achievement. Such as  Edmodo, google class, you tube, and learning application.

Do you know edmodo?

Edmodo is a social microblogging media network that can be used as an online learning option. Besides being able to involve teachers and students, this social media founded by Nicolas Borg and Jeff O'Hara can also involve students to communicate with each other. Now Edmodo has grown rapidly and has around 7 million accounts. using information technology such as edmodo is expected to improve student achievement.

Why? Because Edmodo facilitates e-learning so that learning can be done in various places. Edmodo also helps teachers who cannot teach in class by providing online learning material by uploading learning material. The teacher can provide assignments that can be determined when collected

Unfortunately, the Internet is not always a good impact for us. The impact was not good was actually already joined in our lives.

The negative impact, for example,addiction to online games, violence and social networking addiction, which is very influential in the lives of adolescents, especially students. In addition, online gaming addiction and social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter often make teenagers and students will forget time, forget the health, . Actually, the positive and negative impacts of the Internet in the hands of its users. If we use the internet as well as possible, God willing, we will get a good benefit. But on the contrary, if we do not use the Internet properly, we are likely to fall into negative impacts. Insight into the characteristics of young people in accessing the internet needs to be known by parents and teachers in an effort to control the use of the internet.

In conclusion, the information Technology ( IT ) has greatly impacts depend on the users. If the IT is used with good, God willing, we will get a good benefit. But, if we do not use the Internet properly, we are likely to fall into the negative impact that certainly endanger our lives. Let us use the information Technology as well as possible, according to our needs.
